Some scammers prey on people when they are at their lowest and most desperate. These scum bags will approach people who are vulnerable, grieving, ill or alone and offer their “psychic” services. They may pretend to be able to contact the person’s deceased family member, or offer hope to someone who is truly desperate. These people will charge a fee, which is often rather high and use key phrases to con the victim into believing in them.

There have been some high profile cases of scammers like these, being exposed, such as on Dr Phil, when a psychic scam was busted wide open on TV. However, many more scammers get away with their crimes and the victims may be left traumatized for some time after, when they finally realise they have been scammed.

Now, I consider myself to be open minded when it comes to spiritual matters and I do not discount the idea that some people who claim to be psychic are truly gifted. But how do you find them? I think the only way to find an honest psychic is by word of mouth. Unless you have been personally recommended by a reliable friend, it is best not to risk it.

I think that one sign that someone is out to help is that they will not charge you, or the fee will be very minimal. In one of my previous jobs as a receptionist in a job network, a lady came in and filled out her induction forms. We had a chat whilst she did this. She looked as normal as anyone else and was certainly not the “airy fairy” type you may imagine to be psychic. She worked in a supermarket and had a loving family. She confided in me that she would often get psychic messages for people she saw and that she was getting very strong messages from my grandmother, who had passed away a few months earlier. She began to say names that were in my immediate family and talked of me wanting to start an animal sanctuary. I don’t know for sure that she was an honest lady, but she had nothing to gain from conning me, as there was no money involved. When she left I felt rather strange, like I had to reevaluate things.I also felt like I was being watched, but in a comforting way.

Whenever I saw this lady in the supermarket she would tell me she had messages for me. I always got a buzz from it, even though I held a healthy skepticism.

Personally I do believe in more than we can explain. However, I am very aware that we have to be careful of all the scammers out there and if you know someone who has been through a traumatic experience, keep an eye out for them, as they are the most susceptible to being conned. Do your research and ask around for honest and trustworthy people and if you end up in the horrible position of being scammed report the matter to the police and inform others of your experience.

One other important revelation from numerology can be derived from a person’s name. Each letter from a person’s name is associated with a number. For example, with the name Mark, the letter m is associated with the number 4. The letters a, r, and k are associated with the numbers 1, 9, and 2, respectively. Adding these numbers together we find a resulting number of 16. Add 1 to 6 the result is 7. The name Mark would implies that he is attentive, but also that he may be incompetent.

In this time of changing energies and massive upheavals,
there are many souls who want to be on the earth to experience this exciting
time in history. There are also many souls who wish to leave, who are tired of
all the changes and trauma. Rather than choosing to be born as a baby, then

My first experience with a walk-in was about 9 years ago. My daughter, Samantha,

When she was 7, she began to have pneumonia at least once a month. I was told

Samantha ’spoke’ to me and told me that she had left her body, but that her body

next morning, Samantha woke up laughing, and it was the last time she was that
seriously ill.

 

Samantha was my ‘twin soul’. We knew every thought the other had, every
sensation the other felt. We had a total connection. Suddenly, that connection
was gone. She no longer wanted me around her. She would not communicate with me
psychically. This was very distressful for me. I had no idea why she had changed
so drastically. I suspected that it was a ’soul change’ but had no way to be

How do you pick one? No one likes to get scammed. You are paying your hard earned money to get some insights, you don’t need someone to tell you that your stars are not aligned, or that you are looking for something or trying to figure out your life. Aren’t we all?

If, on your quest to find a good psychic, you come across any of the following, please move on and find someone else to be your guide.

Anyone that tells you that they can solve all your problems is flat out lying. They are praying on people who are desperate and have a problem (or problems) that feel too overwhelming to deal with on their own. No one can solve all your problems for you.

Anyone who adds charges over and above what you have agreed in advance to pay. I am not talking here about someone who has told you ahead of time that there is a charge to have a CD mailed to you, nor am I talking about someone who says there will be an additional charge for additional time or services. I am referring to a so called “psychic” who says “I just prayed for you, you owe me money”.

Anyone who mentions curses, or anything else out of your control. There are no such thing as
curses. There are people out there who would like you to believe there are curses that can be
removed for huge amounts of money, but it is just the money that they will be focusing on — how
they can get it from you. Once they get some out of you, they feel they have you hooked and they
will continue to tell you you are cursed and they will continue to take your money as long as you give it.

Ditto with lighting candles or praying for you. Its fine if a psychic says they are willing to do this for you — so long as they do not charge you for it.

If they tell you that you need readings on a regular basis in order to achieve your goals. Now,
if you make the decision that you need more guidance that is fine. But a psychic should not tell you
that you must ask them before you make your own decisions. You need to live your own life. Asking for help is okay, but a good psychic does not want their clients to become dependent on them for every decision that comes along.

Watch out for psychics who tell you that they “know”, beyond all doubt, what your future holds. You do have some control over your own future. Our futures are based on our actions. If a psychic sees something in your future, positive or negative, you have control over whether or not you allow it
to happen.

The biggest thing to keep in mind when looking for and then consulting a psychic is that you still need to live your own life and make your own decisions. Psychics are “guides”, they are not your decision makers.

If you have a decision to make, yes, a psychic can tell you what the possible outcome of the decision
may be. They cannot tell you what decision you will make — that’s up to you.

I feel at some time, in each of our lives, things happen to us which cannot be explained. We feel a hidden power was at work.

I think the first experience I can remember was as I was working for the TM movement out in Switzerland and had just been cleaning a corridor outside the Maharishi bedroom. As I was passing the door a pundit came out who wanted to use the vacuum cleaner to clean the room.

I gave him the machine and I waited out side, after a few minutes I noticed that he had finished using the machine and it was just inside the door. Not thinking, I stepped forward to remove the vacuum cleaner. As I stepped through the door an unseen energy field zapped me, like static electricity, which seem to short-circuit all my nervous system.

For the next twenty minutes or so, I had to sit on a chair in the corridor to re-centre my energies. For the next few hours afterwards, I kept having dizzy spells. To this day, I am not quite sure what zapped me but I know that something unexplained had happened to me.

A few weeks later I heard of the practice of building a “protective kavach or shield” to protect your property; I am not sure if it was one of these, I short-circuited or just a very strong presence from a highly developed being.

Another experience that I noticed, was that streetlights would often go out as I was walking past them. This had been happening for a few months and I had been mentioning it to some of my friends.

On this particular day I went to church in a car with two of my friends. On the way back we just came over a flyover and the driver said did you see that. So I asked him what? He said the streetlight just went off. I told him not to worry as this happens all the time to me. Anyway the next minute the driver stops the car. I asked why he is stopping and he said another one has just gone off. By this time he was sounding a bit anxious. As he starts off a third streetlight goes out as he drove under it. I must admit this was the first time I got three in a row.

About six months later I was visiting my family who live in Tenerife and had just told the story to a couple of people in the room. One of the girls said well make that streetlight go out over there, pointing. I told her it does not work like that; anyway a few minutes later I noticed it was getting dark in the room and walked over to tern the light on in the room.

The next minute there was a big flash and a bang and the lights fused. For months latter we could not get that light to work again!

Religious Apparitions have occurred throughout history. Two very good examples or Religious Apparitions that were world-changing were the appearance of Jesus Christ to the Christian-persecuting, Saul of Tarsus, who later began known as the Apostle Paul and the appearance of the Angel Gabriel to Mohammed, who dictated the Koran forming the basis for the Islamic world as we know it today.

In the 19th century, Joseph Smith experienced the Religious Apparitions of the Father and the Son, various holy apostles and an Angel named Moroni, who gave him allegedly the location of golden plates. These alleged Religious Apparitions formed the basis of a Church which claims to be the resurrection of the one and only true Church of Jesus Christ.

Religious Apparitions continue to occur in the modern world, particularly in a replica or image of a crying or weeping Madonna statue or painting, but sometimes they occur in what appears to be the very person of the Religious Apparitions themselves. Marian appearances of this nature are particularly powerful and publicly known with such situations as in Fatima and with the appearance of the Virgin at Medjugorje or the famous appearance by the Virgin at Guadalupe in the 19th Century in Mexico. To show the power and specificity of such Religious Apparitions, we shall examine two of the more modern Marian Religious Apparitions.

Certainly, one of the more staggering Religious Apparitions in the Catholic religion was the appearance of the Virgin Mary to three children in Fatima, Portugal in 1917. According to one of the children, Lucia, Mary, who began to regularly appear to the children on the same hour on the 13th of each month, was “more brilliant than the sun.” The children were enjoined to do penance, tying cords around their waists and refraining from drinking water at time, in addition to doing a daily Rosary.

On October 13th, 1917, an event occurred that was witness by thousands of people and remains inexplicable to this day. After a violent rain storm, the clouds parted, revealing the sun as a disk, spinning in the sky and radiating a rainbow of colors, then falling to the earth in an irregular way. The sun never reached the Earth but returned to its trajectory. People in the crowds now noticed their clothing, drenched from the rainstorm, had suddenly become quite dry. The meaning of this event in light of the Religious Apparitions of Mary have been interpreted variously by orthodox Catholics, psychic and UFO commentators.
On June 24th, 1981, six children claimed to have seen the first of many Religious Apparitions of the Blessed Mother, carrying the Infant Jesus, in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Hercegovina. This was the beginning of a series of Religious Apparitions and Divine Messages, calling the world to repentance. The next day, she appeared as a Religious Apparition after a flash of light, this time without the Baby Jesus. Numerous additional Religious Apparitions of Mary appeared to the children. Eventually, they attracted large crowds during these Religious Apparitions, eager to see the Marian Religious Apparitions, which continued for over twenty years.

So Religious Apparitions, whether ancient or modern, whether real, fraudulent or illusionary, can have huge social consequences, forming the basis of new civilizations and cementing the foundations all-encompassing institutions like the Catholic Church, as illustrated by these Marian Religious Apparitions.

Tarot cards, in the images we are most familiar with today, evolved from a kind of table game played in 15th century Italy, becoming popular throughout Europe over the next four centuries.

To fully explore the history of Tarot, you can read the expansive book by Michael Dummet, “The Game of Tarot: From Ferrara to Salt Lake City” (Duckworth, 1980). Dummet, a British philosopher of high regard, is the author of many books on the Tarot. Tarot originally would have been a pastime of the leisure class, those with the time and money to spend on games. Certainly at that time the cards were handmade and illustrated by artists, and each set would vary with the individual artist’s representation of the card’s images. Especially from the 15th to the 18th centuries in Europe, variations of Tarot games were wildly popular, enjoyed by people of some wealth and intellect, very much like chess or bridge. There are several Tarot decks that have come to represent a familiar iconography, each with their own history, interpretation and devotees. The 15th Century Italian Visconti-Sforza deck is probably the earliest surviving deck of this era, with original cards in the collections of several museums around the world. These beautiful, artistic images are reproduced frequently.

A 19th century version from the south of France, known as the Tarot de Marseille, is a very popular deck in Europe.

In the United States, the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck is the most commonly used today. It was conceived by the well-known Tarot authority A. E. Waite, and published in 1902 by the Ryder Co. The simplified graphic style of this deck retains the historic symbolism of earlier decks, but seems fresh and accessible to modern sensibilities.

Other Tarot scholars are convinced that Tarot has its roots in an even earlier time. They see relationships to the Kabbalah, or to Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. Cards, for games or prophesy, were used in China centuries before they found their way to Europe in the 14th Century, and may have been the original incarnation of the Tarot.

It may be more likely that the Tarot was brought to Europe through card games that were popular in the old world Arabia. In 18th Century France, Antoine Court de Gebelin, promoted the concept that the Tarot was derived from mystic practices in Ancient Egypt, which he described in his multi-volumed work, Le Monde Primitif. Another Frenchman, Etteillla, is considered to be the first to recreate the Tarot as a “fortune-telling” device. He is essentially the first Tarot reader. Reproductions of his Book of Thoth Tarot and other publications by Etteilla are still available today.

Tarot reading emerged as a new construct during the Victorian Age’s embrace of spiritualism and the occult, setting the foundation for what would become the New Age school of thought on Tarot that we know today.

There is extensive scholarship and research available on the history of the Tarot, whether from on-line sources or in libraries, for anyone who is interested in exploring the subject. This week my cards have been accused of being a self-serving tool. I was taken aback when someone threw that remark right into my face. A flurry of phone calls and e-mails followed, of course, and now here is my last thought on this subject which I have decided top make public.

How is asking the cards for an answer different from asking advice from a friend? We ask our friends for advice in hope that their answer will serve our best interest. Similarly, people ask the cards for answers when they are confused and distressed, or when they no longer feel that their friends’ advice is enough.

The cards, through their symbolic meanings, describe our situation, as a third party observer would. They only describe what IS, and based on what IS, they encourage us to choose the course of action that we feel is the best for our internal peace. They never tell anyone what to do. Card readings are like an honest discussion with a third party observer. The readings can be a tough journey because they force us to see our situation for what it really is and that brings our true feelings to the surface. The answer to our problems lies in knowing what our true feelings are.

The person this public letter has been written to had boyfriend problems in the past. Despite what others around her told her, she looked inside herself and did exactly what she thought was the best for her happiness. I congratulate that, because in the end, her internal strength and loyalty to what she felt was right for her brought her the happiness she desired. She achieved happiness on her terms by listening to her own internal voice as opposed to the advice of others. She said my cards were self-serving because she noticed from my blogs that at times the answer that emerges through the cards is to leave a relationship instead of staying and working things out.

At the same time however, it is important to realize that while staying in the relationship was the right choice for her, leaving a relationship would have been an equally valid choice for someone else, who, by leaving would have obtained their level of happiness. Because both choices lead to self-fulfillment, they both could be viewed self-serving. Staying can be just as self-serving as leaving, because right from the outset they both are aimed at arriving to an individual form of happiness, although through different routes.

Therefore, the concept of self-serving can come in many shapes and forms. Essentially then, when we do something good for our well-being, our intention could be called self-serving.
Approaching a friend for advice, then, is no less self-serving than going for a card reading.
The cards are like a third-party friend to help us see what IS and guide us to discover a solution in ourselves that is the most compatible with who we are. And that compatibility between us and our surroundings is key to our happiness.

My final point is: some people ask their friends, their priests, their rabbi, their counselors, their therapists, and some ask the cards when they cannot make sense of the world around them. We do not have to complicate this process and attribute great philosophical importance to it. All these intentions are aimed at getting answers that will help us proceed with out lives. The cards are only one avenue of the many when we crave clarity. If the shoe does not fit, don’t wear it.

If it fits, enjoy it as it is always constructive to see our situation from different angles.

Have you ever wondered what meanings may lurk beneath a number, perhaps one that keeps reappearing in your life? Since time immemorial humankind has wondered about the nature of number and how it relates to life. Numerologists believe that there are nine unique archetypes corresponding to nine cycles of development – the numbers 1 through 9. These numbers are also called Core Numbers or, Digital Root Numbers. Since Compound Numbers are merely combinations of these 9 Core Numbers, understanding the meaning of a number is predicated upon a thorough examination of these Roots. We shall now examine the evolution of these Root Numbers.

We begin with the Zero. This is the un-manifest where everything exists in potential. The Zero neither contains nor is contained by any number. It exists outside of any cycle. When the Zero is added to any number it symbolizes a perfection of that number’s meaning. Although 1 is the root of 10, 10 is not strictly synounymous with 1. This is because the addition of the Zero signifies a perfecting of the 1 influence, in effect moving out of the cycle of 1 through 9 and into a higher order - 10 through 19. When Zero is added to a number it tends to bring a universal responsibility to its root number. It is out of this formless perfection that some-thing appears.

Moving out of the formless realm of the Zero is some One thing which is whole, unified, and independent of the Zero. Our symbol for The Number One, 1, is a pillar. A phallic shape. The one is a masculine energy that strikes out on its own and pioneers what is new, original, and seething with energy. This One is the irreducible fact of consciousness, the eternal I AM.

Between the Zero and the One all other numbers have their being. As soon as the One appears it is placed in relation to the un-manifest Zero. For the One to be One at all it must be independent of something hence, the arising of The Number Two. The Two brings about a relationship, it holds within it the strength of the One but with a humbleness reflected in its character. The symbol itself, 2, reveals a man at prayer bowing to some greater power (1).

Once we recognize the arising of self and our relationship to something ‘higher’ (be it g-d, nature, principle or idea) we feel the need to express this understanding. The Number Three brings us into the social sphere. Out of the un-manifest Zero, 0, an independent form arises, 1, which brings us into an essential relation, 2, which we need to in some way express, 3. The character of the Three, 3, reflects this openness in its form. It is open at its top, receiving the higher influences, and open at its bottom, expressing those influences to others.

If what we express is to be of lasting value we must work to create a solid foundation - the Four. Many projects falter before reaching this point, making it to Three but never bridging the gap between expressing a higher ideal, 3, and embodying a higher ideal, 4. In order to maintain its balance the 4 must close off or limit the influence it is working with. The Number Four takes the ideas expressed by the Three and adds a self-imposed limitation, creating a stabile and enduring foundation.

After the discipline of the Four we encounter the change and activity of The Number Five, in effect testing the solidity of our foundation. The Five, 5, turns itself around and introduces freedom and adventure. It is open in both the front and the back. It is a point where decisions must be made, and true to its form, those decisions could radically alter the outcome.

The freedom introduced to the Four through the Five brings about a new balance symbolized in The Number Six. It simultaneously broadens the limits of the Four and places the necessary responsibility upon the five. The Six, 6, is pregnant with love. It is the number of family and social responsibility. The social responsibilities of the Six create a need to understand and gain insight, a need to find some way of placing experiences into a meaningful whole.

The Number Seven questions and seeks answers to the grand riddle of life. It is a number of magical, mystical maturity. Its character, 7, may be likened to an old man bent over with age or perhaps, carrying a staff or lantern that casts its light into the darkness surrounding it. It is the number of introspection, planning, and inner searching. Through the control, insight and planning that emerges with the Seven we realize that we reap what we sow.

The Number Eight becomes a carrier of dynamic power and the success of the seeds planted all the way back with the One. Its character, 8, reveals a perfect balance between the world of ideas and the world of action. It is closed off indicating the power that will bring ideas into fruition.

After the rewards bestowed by the Eight we realize we are reaching the end, The Number Nine. As we confront this ending the focus shifts from the material to the spiritual. Selfless service and universal ideas become paramount. The character of the Nine, 9, is very much like the Six, 6. Whereas the Six sends its love to the material world of family and friends, the Nine closes the cycle by returning its love and compassion to higher ideals.

And again we are faced with the Zero. We may start a new cycle, beginning once again with One. It is possible we may continue our endeavor and raise the One to the relative perfection of the Ten, learning lessons of a higher order. In either case, we find everything between nothing (0) and something (1).

In this article I’d like to take a quick look at some of the myth and misinformation that exists about astral travel problems and the potential danger in the practice. Now, first let me say that I’m a firm believer in taking good care of your psychic self, and do believe that you can open yourself up to a figurative (and literal) can of worms if you don’t practice SOME form of precautionary practice when surfing the supernatural realms. With that said, there is absolutely NO proof that there is ANY danger in the astral body, or at least none that you are going to experience during projection practice.

You want to know why I’m so certain of this fact? Well, I know there are folks out there who have claimed to have all kinds of troubles with astral “wildlife” and thought forms and the like, and even some pretty well known gurus have intimated there is a risk, right? I’m here to tell you not only do I disagree…I would say that there are all kinds of people out there who may in fact be well intentioned, but might still be a card or two short of a full deck to boot..:-) 

  I’ve simply seen nothing in my own experience, or in any of the hundreds of accounts that I respect that anything TRULY dangerous lurks in the astral, other than projections of our own unfiltered consciousness. I would argue, and MOST would certainly agree that much of what takes place in the moments where you are free from the confines of your physical shell are the most liberating, freedom finding and exhilarating adventure you can experience! (And I would **** for anyone to pass up the opportunity to learn more out of a fraudulent fear that there is something to be afraid of..:-)

Here’s the basic steps on how to draw Naruto:

1. First start by drawing a basic, round face. As with any cartoon, anime drawing, you want to use big circles to add the eyes, cheeks and chin.
2. The next step is to start doodling what will be the eyes. These should also be pretty big, as manga drawings tend to have big eyes and pupils.
3. Now add the ears on both sides of the face, and a small nose right in the center.
4. Add some ****** features, such as lips and eyebrows, and you have a basic Naruto skeleton.

You might want to add some shading and shadows to include more detail and add some expression to his face by making some eyebrows and dimples. Once you have the basic frame for Naruto outlined, you can start filling in the details to make it actually look like the cartoon character.
